Type of problems that resolve

At the end of the 1960s the integrated circuit (IC) appeared, which made it possible to manufacture several transistors in a single silicon substrate in which the interconnection cables were soldered. The integrated circuit allowed a subsequent reduction of the price, the size and the percentages of error.

The microprocessor became a reality in the mid-1970s, with the introduction of the large scale integration circuit (LSI, acronym for Large Scale Integrated) and, later, with the integration circuit on a larger scale (VLSI, acronym for Very Large Scale Integrated), with several thousand integrated transistors welded onto a single silicon substrate.
